Myself and Michael Ratliff chased yesterday and captured incredible footage of the tornado near Hammon, OK...  we also enjoyed the tornado from a distance and captured some great photos and videos, I got so lucky with my point and shoot and got the tornado and CG... I am so glad everyone was alright in Hammon, OK... I was praying while we were shooting that video...

Here's the video, I want to get about a 5 minute highlight clip up of this incredible event from start to finish...

Thanks,

Andy Gabrielson

awesome footage Andy!  I followed you from the start of the tornado to the end.  CRAZY footage, and yes, thank goodness all parties were ok!  Will look forward to the extended clip!

it looked awesome, but how far away were you really from it?
I like to see the camera zoomed as close as possible, but I also like to see
it zoomed out to see how far you actually are as well!  like in person.

I believe it was stated on TWC that he was 80 yards from it.  Andy, does that sound about right?

We were about 80 - 100 yards away at the closests point, it was sort of a Z minus the top line... we sat at the point of the bottom and the tornado moved in that exact path... my dash cam video is up, of course thats not nearly as impressive as its not HD and its from a sony handycam with a wider angle lens so it looks like were a mile away but i captured some decent shots from it despite not paying very good attention to it!

Thanks for sharing!  This is some incredible footage.  Glad no one was hurt and everyone heeded warnings and took shelter in their storm shelters.
